Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that is responsible for many processes in the organism. It contributes to maintaining healthy bones and teeth, muscle function and a healthy immune system. In addition, the vitamin is important for the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D is the only vitamin that can be produced by the body itself. Around 80% of vitamin D is produced using sunlight, around 20% must be ingested through food.1 Older people, people who do not spend much time outdoors, dark-skinned people and vegans are often affected by vitamin D deficiency. Such a deficiency can be prevented with just one tablet of D3 active Denk per day.
